Oh, I am all a-twitter and a-flutter…

Let me first explain that I NEVER EVER win anything; I used to rock out at spelling competitions at school and I won a few debates (I can spell and I can argue; I will put that on my gravestone, I think), but when it comes to contests, I have been a losing losery loser who loses for years and years.

So imagine my delight and amazement when I clicked over to Sleepless Nights to check out the winners of her competition, to see MY BLOG was one of the winners. “Argh!” I said, scaring poor Max who was bashing his Thomas and Diesel engines together on the sofa behind me. “Mommy!” he said. “Don’t shout for no reason!” The irony of his statement was not lost on me, but I was too busy chairdancing to call the little screech-monkey on it.

I want to first thank Veronica (hi Veronica!) for choosing me; I also want to thank her Mum (hi Kim!) from Frogpondsrock who was part of the process in an advisory capacity. And finally, I want to welcome all of you to my blog and to my life.
